Are you living with crooked teeth? Perhaps you had orthodontic treatment as an adolescent and forgot to continue wearing your retainers? Or maybe you've never had orthodontic treatment and have noticed your teeth shifting over time. Whatever the case may be, crooked teeth might leave you feeling self-conscious about your smile.

If you've ever considered straightening your teeth, you'll want to learn more about clear aligners with Invisalign. Clear braces in Clifton Hill offer you the utmost discretion and ease for straightening your teeth and improving your smile.

Today, we'll review the Invisalign process step-by-step so you can see the progression towards your new smile!

Step #1 The Invisalign Evaluation

If you're interested in choosing Invisalign for your smile, the first step is booking a consultation with one of our dentists to determine if the treatment is right for your needs. Invisalign is not ideal for correcting complex bite concerns, but it does work well in these situations:

If Invisalign is not suitable for you, we'll discuss other viable options for your smile. If you move forward with clear aligners, we'll send our dentist's specifications to Invisalign, who will create your customised aligners.

Step #2 Wear Your Aligners

Once you've started your treatment with Invisalign, you'll wear your aligners as much as possible, at least 22 hours per day, to achieve the best results. You'll change your aligners every one to three weeks at home and have occasional check-in visits with your Clifton Hill dentist to ensure your treatment progresses.

Most patients can finish their treatment within 10 to 18 months, depending on their needs.

Step #3 Wear Your Retainers

Once you complete your treatment with Invisalign and you're enjoying your straighter smile, it's essential to continue wearing your retainers at night while you sleep to avoid teeth shifting.
