Are you missing teeth? You're not alone—thousands of Australians face this challenge. Fortunately, today's dental prostheses offer long-lasting solutions to restore your smile, confidence and ability to enjoy your favourite foods.

Let's explore your options in simple, straightforward terms.

What Are Dental Prostheses?

Think of dental prostheses as replacement parts for your smile! These custom-made devices replace missing teeth, and each type offers different benefits to match your unique needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Traditional Complete Dentures — When all teeth in an arch need replacing, complete dentures come to the rescue. After removing any remaining teeth and tissues have healed, we custom-fit this full tooth replacement to your jaw and gums.

Partial Dentures — If you still have healthy natural teeth, partial dentures can fill in the missing spots. These removable prostheses use clasps to attach to the remaining teeth. By filling the open space, they restore your smile and prevent adjacent teeth from shifting.

Fixed Bridges — Dental bridges are so named because they literally "bridge" the gap created by one or more missing teeth. Unlike dentures, bridges are attached with crowns to adjacent natural teeth on either side of the gap.

Dental Implants — Considered the ‘Gold Standard,’ implants are permanent tooth replacements that mimic a natural tooth root. Titanium posts are surgically placed in the jawbone and topped with a crown, bridge, or denture to restore function and appearance.

Implant-Supported Prostheses — If you’re missing multiple teeth, implant-supported dentures or bridges combine the stability of implants with the full function of traditional dentures. With just a few strategically placed implants, we can secure a full-arch tooth replacement with a prosthesis that doesn't slip or require adhesives.
